To bring out better detail these images have been enhanced with Photoshop
. Typically, they are scanned at 300 dpi in color. They are then brought into Photoshop and cropped. The image has its “levels” balanced, which will change a dim black and grey tintype into one with a better black to white range. Contrast and brightness are adjusted to brighten image.
